Many churches are turning to theater style seating as a comfortable, efficient, and visually striking option for worship gatherings. With a wide variety of styles and options to choose from, churches can customize theater seating to meet the needs of their congregation and church building. World class engineering and impeccable design features ensure that our theater seats are tremendously durable, quiet to operate, and compliant with all major international standards, safety and building codes.
Superior engineering and quality parts ensure our theater chairs will stand the tests of time and use as well as offer enjoyable comfort while in use.
Chair backs are delicately curved to conform to the natural shape of the body assisting in both comfort and posture. Both the seat cushion and the seat back utilize cold molded foam which is denser and more resilient than open cell foam. Cold molded foam will not lose its shape, is long lasting, and provides superior ergonomic support for the human torso.
Seat design and craftsmanship are the most critical features for comfort and durability. Our seat design includes five 10-gauge serpentine springs that provide a strong seat cushion support system. A chafing barrier is used between the springs and foam to prevent erosion and continue the chair strength design. A half inch solid steel spanner bar transverses the seat pan to prevent racking or twisting of seats, even under unusual weight and stress.
One piece tubular steel "end standards" provide durability along with the highest level of shock and impact absorption. All metal components, both exposed and concealed, are electrostatically powder coated for even and thorough coating to prevent rust and corrosion.
Every step is taken in our theater seat designs to ensure maximum noise reduction. Our theater chairs include either a silent gravity lift return system or a steel counterbalance and full elimination of metal to metal contact points through the use of self-lubricated brass bushings at critical points to further reduce noise levels. Neoprene rubber spacers and Teflon insulators also aid in keeping seats whisper quiet.
Our seating fabrics and foam cushions meet flammability compliance with California Technical Bulletin 117, Section E requirements along with various ASTM and AATCC classifications. Our chairs also conform to ANSI/BIFMA X5.4-97 testing for strength, durability, impact and stability requirements. Our seating is also designed for ease of assembly and disassembly so parts can be easily replaced if necessary.
With many standard and custom options, our theater chairs will meet your sanctuary seating needs. Some popular options include:
