Baptistry Installation Guide and Maintenance Info

Print out our Baptistry Installation Information!

Proper Care for your New Baptistry

This image illustrates general installation information. We advise you to wait until your baptistry arrives before framing. Your situation will vary from others.

Maintenance Tip - The occasional waxing with a good paste wax will keep  your baptistry new and watersealed for generations!

Base Stand
Place baptistry on a base stand which has been built according to architectural specifications and is structurally designed to support it when filled. (see drawing) Allow for support of 400 pounds per sf.  Concrete under the main tub body should be double slab with #5 reinforcing rods at 12" on centers.

Framing
Erect 2 x 4 stud framing for rim support and support under the baptistry window as per drawing.

Finish
Use corner molding or plaster to give a smooth finish surface around the rim and under the window area.  Trim as needed.

Window Glass
The 1/2" Plexiglas is to be  installed with silicone sealant after baptistry installation for the best fit.   More info
